This information assessed from the death certificate of daughter Jane. Also Alan Cocks notes refer to David Knox and Mina Burnet from the 9th edition of 1899 Burkes "Landed Gentry of Ireland" (page 238).
Presumably, David Knox was born, married and died at Hawick.
Also, Alan Cocks says the Christian name of Burnet was Isabella, but the death certificate of Jane (aka Jean) shows her mother's Christian name as Mina.
